Support
LilMate helps parents and children manage tasks, rewards, star records, shop state, and pet progress. This page covers common setup and troubleshooting steps.
Setup checklist
- Install the latest App Store or TestFlight build on each device.
- Use the same iCloud account on devices that should share family data.
- Make sure iCloud is enabled and the device has a stable network connection.
- Open LilMate on both devices after making important changes so iCloud sync can run.
iCloud sync
LilMate uses Apple CloudKit to sync supported data when iCloud is available. Sync is not always immediate and can be affected by network status, iCloud account state, low power mode, and Apple cloud service availability.
- If data does not appear on another device, open LilMate on both devices and wait a few minutes.
- Confirm both devices are signed in to the same iCloud account.
- Confirm the latest build is installed on both devices.
- If the app was just reinstalled, allow extra time for iCloud records to download.
Parent Mode and Child Mode
- Parent Mode is used for child setup, task management, task review, rewards, and deletion.
- Child Mode is used for viewing tasks, submitting completion, claiming approved rewards, and viewing star records.
- Keep Parent Mode credentials private and keep the device passcode secure.
- If Face ID is unavailable, use the available in-app parent verification flow.
Photos and permissions
The app asks for camera or photo library access only when choosing an avatar photo or submitting a photo for a task. If access is denied, open iOS Settings, find LilMate, and update camera or photo permissions as needed.
Deleting family data
Parents can delete a selected child's data in Parent Mode. Deletion is intended to remove related local app data and sync deletion to iCloud when CloudKit sync is available. Deletion cannot be undone.
Contact support
Use the App Store product page or the public support contact configured for LilMate to report problems. Include the app version, iOS version, device model, whether iCloud sync is enabled, and the steps that led to the issue.
